Chester, or Bitterwell Sunny Delight of Hareswith, was with us from 1993 and enjoyed the life of a pet before anything else. We did not use him for stud as his hips were not too good.
But he did so enjoy life!
Mind you he was good in the show ring -
As a young dog in England, he lived for picking up, liking nothing more than a good
days shoot where he worked very hard. It did take him a few days to get over it though
-
In his latter days Chester stayed around the garden -
Here he is looking after Dickens and Rowan!
He watched over quite a few litters and was known as ‘Uncle Chester’ to all of them

At 14 ½ years old we had to say goodbye to David’s dear friend Chester. He had a long and happy life bringing joy to all who met him. His role as ‘Uncle Chester’ to the youngsters will be difficult to follow. Greatly missed.
